It's Bingo Time

Hello and once again it's time for a Bingo challenge at Addicted to Stamps and More. Here is your card
Bingo # 4
and here is the card I made
the line I chose is Orange - Black and Dies.
I used 3 colours of TH Distress Inks to colour the background of the card, Dried Marigold, Wild Honey and Spiced Marmalade. Two label dies for the stamped sentiment from an Indigo Blu stamp set. The swirls and dragonfly are from Sheena Douglass - Flying Colours. I stamped the dragonfly with Versamark and used Black Twinkle WOW! embossing powder. I again stamped the wings to add a second layer, coloured the dragonfly with 3 Promarkers, Peach, Honeycomb and Burnt Orange.  I look forward to visiting you to see which bingo line you have chosen and how you have interpreted it. Most importantly have fun and yes, if you can experiment, it can be even more fun.

Last Week in France

Well it is our last week in France at Make My Monday - Thanks Fliss I have enjoyed our little journey around France, I decided for our last week which is Feminine or Romance to spend my time browsing around the fashionable shopping areas. The backing paper is another lovely free download from a Vintage site, so suitable for our theme. There are two on my side bar, why don't you check them out.  I filled the shop with three dresses - stamps from Kanban.  Coloured with Promarkers.  I know I have used these stamps a lot but I still love them and find them so fitting for many occasions. The fancy corset is a Bravura stamp. I know many haven't joined our trip round France, but maybe for the last week we'll find a few more taking part, I do hope so for I love to visit your blogs and see how you have interpreted our challenges.

Last week at CD. Sunday Challenges we had some fabulous entries for our Poetry Corner. This week Christine has chosen for the challenge Beautiful Blue. The Design team have produced, once again a beautiful and varied display for the challenge. I do love visiting the ladies who are reaching out and making use of their CDs, it is so heart warming to see so many variations, I am inspired and learn so much from many of the entries. Here is my card.............
Apart from a  few embellishments and the mirri card everything was taken from the Paintbox Poppets produced by Crafter's Companions. thanks ladies for all of your comments and welcome to my latest two new followers, I hope I will continue to maintain your interest.

Make Your Mark #4

Here we are at Addicted to Stamps and More and already it is time for Make Your Mark #4. Pop on over and you will find the instructions are simple, we don't have many rules only the important ones. LOL.
I used Promarkers to create my mark, I used two Holly Hobbie Christmas stamps, the backing paper is also from a Hollie Hobbie booklet of Christmas Papers, both were free gifts with a Cardmaking magazine.
The greeting is from LOTV stamps, leaves, lace, flowers all from my craft stash. I look forward to seeing what you create and visiting you over the next week, remember no more than 5 entries, is very important.
I am entering this card into
I love Promarker's - Christmas is Coming
Totally Papercrafts - Christmas 9 weeks and counting

Blue, White and Red at MMM

We are still in France for our challenge at Make My Monday, this week Fliss is challenging us to produce a French themed card with the French Tricoleur of Blue, White and Red. Please do visit the main blog for the Design Team and our guest Designer have produced some manifique samples. For my card, I have used Chipped Sapphire and Fired Brick for the blue and red, a Hero Arts Tag stamp and lots of small clear stamps of Paris to produce the collage background. Red and white ribbon for the tag. I didn't have any dark blue ribbon but I have got to say colouring with a dark blue Promarker was both so easy and effective. My first time I have used this method, I am very impressed. Watch out, I'll be only buying white ribbon in future. LOL I apologise for the poor quality photo, I had to take a pic very late at night, I so ran out of time today.

Poetry Corner

This week at CD Sunday challenges Carol has chosen for us 'Poetry Corner', as long as you have a poem, use part or all of a CD then we really look forward to visiting you to see your poetic creation.
Please do visit the main blog for we, the DT, have a wide selection of poetry in our samples. Your Autumn splendour last week were simply stunning, such a colourful array.
I am currently working on a Halloween book, this is my second year, I usually only work on it during the month of October, at this rate, it won't be finished for a few more years, unless I can find the momentum in the spring or summer months to work on it. Maybe if you looked at the earlier parts of the book, all collected  here, you''ll understand what it is all about. There is no purpose to this book other than my guilty pleasure in enjoying creating something I wouldn't normally make. This will be the next page, it is an envelope for a tag.  The tag, below,  being my 'Poetry Corner' DT for the challenge. Have fun everyone, I sure did.
I have used various sources for materials, including he background papers for the tag from Sheena Douglas CD Paint Fusion, Stamps from Tandastamps, pieces from my craft stash.

S is for Spooky!

So quickly are the weeks passing us by, we are now up to the letter S at Alphabet Challenges, I was so lucky to be the one to choose the theme for this fortnight, especially at this time of the year, I didn't need to think for long, for S could be Spiders, Snakes, Skulls, Skeletons. Slithery creatures, yes, in one, anything to fit Halloween. Just over a year ago I started to make a SPOOKY BOOK, an opportunity to divert my dark side into one project, after last October it has been put away until the beginning of this month. I have created the fourth page (and more) and will probably continue until the end of October then put it away again. It doesn't seem right to be working on it during January or Spring. If you would like to see the front cover and other pages please go here.

I have used such an eclectic mix of materials, too many to mention, but the papers are from My Mind's Eye,
the majority of stamps are from Tandastamps, with a TH bird. I've no idea who made the large skull stamp another super find on E-bay. Have fun reading the poem. I greatly look forward to your popping onto your blogs to see your creative S is for Spooky projects. Remember it does NOT have to be a card. Have fun.

Inkyspirational DT Call # 3

2nd post today
This is my third card for the new blog Inkyspirtional DT Call - to find out more please visit here and here.
Mynette, who has organised the call, has provided this photo for an inkyspiration...............
This is my card.  I have matted onto black, red and white. The main image has been created using a bird stamp, purchased from E-bay, along with the sentiment, I think it is a Time Holtz one, not totally sure. The branches are from Inidgo Blu, from Nature 1 set. I created the moon with a punched out sticky note circle, coloured first with Pumice Stone (grey), then brushed around the edges with black soot. The berries, were created with an idea from Sheena Douglas, I used the eraser at the end of a pencil as a stamp into Fired Brick, works a treat I think. Thanks Sheena.

Sketch #3 at Addicted to Stamps and More

Well, it's Sketch Week 3 at Addicted to Stamps and More, I enjoy working with sketches. I will be honest, and say I didn't at one time, but I have found they are inspirational, I find I design cards in a way I may never have previously thought of and being honest, how many of us need to sometimes venture from our comfort zones. Here is my interpretation of the above sketch, but please do look at our blog for there are some fabulous samples from the design team.
Apart from the greeting there is no stamping on this card, which is, for me, moving from my comfort zone.
I embossed the background on a pink card, then matted onto dark brown paper. Placed the picture from Crafty Individuals in the centre, First framed and raised with foam pads a fancy die-cut square, then a smaller die cut square to complete the frame. Added pearls for a feminine touch. Looking forward to seeing how you have been inspired by the sketch.

Fluer de Lys

Continuing our lovely month in France, at Make My Monday, this week our challenge is to use the Fleur de Lys - a French Lily, used throughout Europe but is known particularly for it's use by the French monarchy in history, continuing to be popular in use today. There were some wonderful entries last week and I again look forward to viewing your blogs and your entries for this week. Maybe these topics are a little more challenging but please do have a go, for learning and experimenting, pushing the boundaries can be fun.

I coloured the background of my card with several TH Distress inks and then stamped the Fleur de lys, from a Paperartsty set - Egg and Nog #.  The main image a Crafty Individuals stamp -CI 260 - was laid on several complimentary layers, tied with a ribbon, 3 black gems added.

Autumn Splendour

This week at CD Sunday Challenges we are challenging you to show us some Autumn Splendour. Autumn is my favourite season, the amazing colour changes in nature are awesome. When I sit at my computer, I only need to lift my head to see through my window several trees which give me the most beautiful vista of the changing seasons, at present there are so many colours it's a spectacular view. My card is made using Sheena Douglas Paint Fusion, with the addition of a Marianne scroll die and black paper. I greatly enjoyed your wonderful Christmas challenges last week and am so looking forward to see all of the beautiful autumnal scenes. Have fun everyone.

Inkyspirational DT Call - Card 2

Mynette is looking for a DT for her new upcoming Inkyspirational Challenge Blog, please check here for more information. this is my second of four cards for the DT call. A colour combination, not, if I may say Mynette, the easiest in the world, but it certainly made me think. LOL.
This is the required colour palette....................
This is my interpretation of the colours, maybe not a perfect mix, I think my colours may have got diluted crossing the big pond. LOL

The main design of the card was matted onto the dark brown. I brushed around all edges with Broken China DI (sky blue) I used all 3 colours to stamp the flowers and leaves, using some of my well loved Tapestry stamps. The fairies are from a Sheena stamp set, 'Hidden Fairies with Ivy'. I used a punch for the decorative border on the brown paper. Added a decoupaged blue bow from Chloe stamps. Adding some stamping onto the flap of the envelope adds even more interest before the card is even opened. Many thanks to my those who have recently added to my followers,I do hope you enjoy your visits and find something which either helps, guides or maybe just gives you pleasure.

CAS at Addicted to Stamps & More

This week at Addicted to Stamps and More we are challenging you to make a Clean and Simple project. I greatly enjoy covering a white space with coloured inks, and yet I can also feel equally creative by leaving a lot of white space, which I'm told for many is the difficult part. One of my favourite stamping techniques is the Resist Technique, which I used on a piece of card, then adhered to the main card. I then embossed two lines to help the coloured card to stand out. I have a tutorial for this technique on my Tutorial blog  here. I stamped the butterfly first with a blue DI then with a yellow one, to give it a reverse colour from the panel. I have two friends who are currently poorly so am off to make another card. I greatly enjoyed visiting and commenting on the Halloween cards last week, lots of ghoulish fun, I am sure your CAS creations will be wonderful, I love to see  and learn from others creations.

Inkyspirational - A New Blog Coming Soon

A blogging and fellow DT friend of mine Mynette at On a Stampage is planning on starting a new challenge blog, read all about it, on her blog.  Mynette is looking for a DT, so I thought I would enter, for it does sound as if the new blog will be challenging and fun. There are four challenges for your to complete if your interested. Challenge #1 is to CASE, one of her cards. Now I knew what it meant, but I have looked it up to check exactly what the acronym says - it is Copy And Steal Everything. I don't think I've been totally true for  I have changed it slightly, put it down to the time of the year. This is Mynette's card...........
and this is mine.......................

I have embossed a piece of core'dinations card, with a Spellbinders M-Bossibilities, sanded it to expose the core. Matted onto a piece of black paper. The Trick or Treat, spider's web  and pumpkin stamps are from Tandastamps. The swirl is from a Marianne die. Okay Mynette, one down, three to go. Thanks for the opportunity.

French Vintage

Oh! la!la! your cards for Paris last week were magnifique.  At Make My Monday, this week we would like you to continue with our French theme and produce a project to fit the title of  FRENCH VINTAGE.

The background paper comes from a  paper pad, which was free with a magazine, thanks to my very dear friend Diane for posting these to me. I used several stamps to add to the vintage look. Added lace and some spotty organza ribbon. I stamped the perfume bottles onto vellum, hoping to give them the see through look.
Stamps used - Floradora, Perfume bottles and various words  from Crafty Individuals. I look forward to visiting your blogs and leaving comments.  Many thanks to those who have popped onto my blog for your comments which are always appreciated. May I at this time say 'Hello and welcome' to my latest followers, I do hope I can continue to produce items on my blog which will maintain your interest and give pleasure. Thanks for following me.

R is for Recycle

At Alphabet Challenge for the next two weeks we are already up to the letter R- Recycle chosen by Roxx.
My re-cycled item idea isn't a new one, It's probably as ancient as tin cans are. Clean them, make sure there are no sharp edges, which I covered with a strip of cotton glued to the cans. Then simply decorate with pretty papers either bought or hand produced with stamps and inks. Have fun, decorate to your heart's desire, add names if you wish. I appear to be so organised, I am with things I can put in cans, have many of them, now anyone got a good suggestion with papers? I look forward to visiting you to see your recycled item, to leave a comment, visiting your Fit for a Queen was great fun, super creations ladies.
